Overview

A former RTE Radio One producer, Fiona Kelly now works as an independent radio producer and presenter and media consultant as well as continuing to be one of the voices on “It says in the papers” on Morning Ireland.

  • The Dublin Devils, 2009 a half hour documentary on RTE Radio One, which was broadcast as part of the BCI funded “Private Passions” series.
  • My Gentle Harp, 2009, reporter on a six-part BCI funded series on the composer Thomas Moore for Lyric FM. Produced by Una Hunt
  • A night on the tiles, 2008, a six part series on RTE Radio One which each week spent a night in the company of a range of different and diverse groups.
  • Presenter of The Family Zone, 2008, a 13 week panel discussion programme on RTE Radio One on issues facing the contemporary Irish family. Produced by Liz Sweeney.
  • Passing the Picket, 2007, an eight part series on RTE Radio One, on some of the most memorable strikes from the recent past.
  • A Walk in the Park, 2006, a six part series on RTE Radio One, which featured a different park each week.
  • May Suit First Time Buyer, 2006, a seven part property programme on RTE Radio One on the perils and pit-falls of getting on the first rung of the property ladder.
  • Breaking Bread, 2005, a six-part series on RTE Radio One which featured a different immigrant family each week.
  • Guaranteed Irish, 2004, a six part series on RTE Radio One which focused on a successful young Irish entrepreneur and their business each week.
  • Pillars of Society, 2003, a six part series on RTE Radio One looking at how traditional jobs have evolved.
  • Mouths of Babes, 2002, a six part series on RTE Radio One which each week visited a national school where pupils all over the country talked about their views, aspirations, etc.
  • Stand Up Sketches, 2002, a comedy sketch show script edited Barry Murphy featuring sketches by a team of writers including Dermot Carmody, Kevin Gildea, Paul Tylak, Joe Rooney, Paddy Cullivan, Sue Collins and Ann Gildea.
  • Stand Up Stories, 2002/2001, a 14 part comedy show written by a different stand up comedian each week. Script-edited by Barry Murphy. An episode of this series written by Michelle Reid won the Spanish ‘Premios Ondes’ award for radio in 2002.
